A new thing Breaks forth !

Have you ever yearned for a fresh new experience in life? Have you ever itched with ever present readiness to break out of your normal routine and embrace the fresh new experience in life? That was me in the month of September. So far I can reckon that God has been faithful in granting me this desire. A new thing breaks forth!

September 2016

Time for new experience, Fresh adventure! Sometimes you have to break out of the norm, that has been the conviction in me. After a successful youth for Christ training in August , I felt charged and ready for a new experience in Ministry and so with the help f my friend Pastor Ben , I moved to Tenwek in Bomet county some 230 km south west of Nakuru which is in the south rift region (Not very far from Masai Mara ! I had to point that one out)

Settling in a new Town in a different culture is not easy. I moved into this new area by faith. Its not that I had been posted by an organization or something but just took a simple step of faith knowing that this area is rife with opportunities, both for ministry, business and some part time job here and there/ It s a bold step but as I write this , things are piecing up nicely.

Lords House of Hope snack party

September 17th: we were scheduled to have a snack party for the kids at the Lords house of Hope in Dagorreti Nairobi. This means that I had to board a matatu (Public transport in Kenya) all the way to Nairobi to take charge of this event. What a day it was! We did team building, sports and snacking. The climax of it all was the brief twenty minutes at the end where Mike and I had prepared a sermonete entitled “Don’t go back to the pigs” (Luke 15) based on the story of the prodigal son .

We did it differently this time. A new thing breaks forth Indeed!

Snack party was fun! Little things done with a big heart goes a long way!

Tunza

We were able to visit Mama Tunza Home to check on our little Bothers and sisters and to bring them greetings from Henry and Kim in Canada

October 2016
I have done a month already in Tenwek! What an adventure. I came here suffering from a re infection of Brucellosis and strange type of Amoeba.

Before 2016 came, I had visited the hospital only twice or thrice for the last ten years. This year had not been so kind to me on matters health. For I had done four trips in and out of hospital since March.

I thank God for the world class health facility here in Tenwek (Tenwek Hospital) we finally nailed it and slowly and steadily am getting back to my full health.

Litein Boys High school/ kiptewit girls high school/ Sacred Hills girls

It was a mission organized by Pastor Ben a colleague of mine at he Moved by Love foundation. It was a great outing on Sunday as we engaged the boys on a talk of Music, the modern trends and the fascination the young people have with celebrities.

Later in the afternoon we reached out to the girls at kiptewit girls high school and sacred hills girls school in the nearby town and engaged them in some straight talk on matters sexuality, premarital sex and self esteem issues, In Kenya such talks are important especially when the kids are about to go home for their long holidays where they are exposed to these vices out there.

We can’t seem to forget our little brothers and sisters from Mama Tunza

and Lords House of Hope home. We plan to visit and give the candidates success cards as hey prepare to sit for their national primary schools exams. It’s a wonder to behold what God is doing in their lives as some of them came to these homes dejected and malnourished but now have grown exponentially and are now due for their biggest exams ever. We pray that the same God who began a good work in them will continue perfecting his good purpose in them.

Remarks

I covet your prayers as I enter November. Ministry in Zambia excites me and challenges me in an equal breadth. How I covet your prayers as I mobilize a team of four for this great outing.

Pray that God will continue to furnish us with the resources we need to carry out this great task.

I pray for a new thing to break forth in your life wherever you are as God envelops and embraces you in his grace.

No More Dry Bones.

Ezekiel 37:3-5 :And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou know est.
4  Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
5  Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
The human spirit is fervent and has special Capacity to navigate through impossible situation. Everyday we hear stories of travail and triumph how many people have endured impossible diseases, trust, grief, etc and come out victorious.
For those who are Christians many have testified how God has taken them through tough times and can owe it to God for turning around their tough times to work for their good. Am speaking this from the awareness of how human suffering can drain one physical, emotional and spiritual.

Can these bones live again?

This is the groaning from someone in an impossible situation. The spirit of the Lord leads prophet Ezekiel to a valley of dry bones, a type of who the nation of Israel were.. Once a powerful nation with fortified city, a nation which prided itself in Its God. Wasn't this a nation whose God made them so triumphant against its enemies and whose cities lie in ruins and people carried as captives to a foreign land?
Its in this Hollow space of desperation that God almighty erupts with this simple query "can these bones live again?" The prophet must be like you are kidding God, right? How do you except such a mass of death to gather up and live again?

what is that impossible situation that marauds around you today? Do you have even words to describe the tears and the desperation that threatens to eat into the very life in you? Are you drenched in worry ? How about hearkening to the voice of him who calls the weary to draw to him? "Come to me all yee who are heavy laden and wearied and i will give you rest?"

if God of all the universe descends on that situation and asks you if your story can change what will your answer be?

Prophecy to these Dry Bones

ooh dry bones hear the word of God : The grace of God gives us power to maneuver through tough situations, for the children of Israel it was to maneuver through a wanton destruction of the state . The capture of the cities of Jerusalem and Judah left a once powerful state with nothing to boast of .

No matter what you face in life or what life throws at you , you can still Burst  forth with exuberant hope'
when God storms in your daily affairs, struggles and hassles , everything gets caught up in him like a whirlwind.

let the dry bones live . God is causing his breath of life to enliven in you. You can rise up, wipe those tears . Like the children of Israel . You shall live and not die. Those who taste of christ surely find life. Those who are in Christ have crossed over from death to life, from hopelessness to hope, from despair to a hope that anchors within the veil, that is steadfast and unmoved (Heb6:18)

May you find Hope and peace and rest in christ alone. In him you have no more dry bones moment for he sustains you with his long life .

August : Times of Refreshing

Thanksgiving and Pray for
Ø  Successful Yfci Training(Youth For Christ International)
Ø  Successful High school ministry
Ø  Mama Tunza  Children’s Home in Kibiko Ngong (They need supplies, Scholarship for 18 of their 42 kids yet to be sponsored)
Ø  Impending Ministry: Operation Moved By Love Zambia coming up in October.

Another Month unfolds and wow, how time flies! Just the other day we welcomed with open arms the year 2016 and now we are in the final quarter. It’s my prayer that you are well kept and that you are giving life the shot it deserves. God has one agenda for you and humanity; to enjoy him and derive life out of him each and every day. (John10:10)
August has been my month of getting equipped more than going out. We all need to fill our cups one time or another. We need energy and the comfu to take life head on and fulfill God’s agenda for our life.

YFCI Training (7-21st August)

The Youth for Christ Africa Training team had planned training for Youth for Christ staff and volunteers.
My role as Youth for Christ alumni and volunteer saw me being privileged to be one of those who took part in the training.
It was a retreat packed with life defining moments for me as I got to grasp important ministry tools and truths that I believe God is going to use to take Kenya youth for Christ and myself to the next level. Many are the times we are caught in motions, playing church, playing religion but really what is ministry? What is in the heart of God towards ministry?
2nd Cor 5:18“all This comes from God who has reconciled us to himself through the Messiah and has given us the ministry of reconciliation” ISV
We were taught many things but one thing that stood out for me is the hearts of God towards people in this case the young people. God is yearning to reach out to people and to lavish them with his love.
This reality resonates in me as I remember the underlying point that E.J our facilitator pointed out. “The fatherhood of God is the root of ministry.” This reality resonates in the way the father reached out to the prodigal son in Luke 15.

It was wonderful connecting with fellow ministry partners and workers from Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Burundi, Tanzania Liberia and South Africa

Mama Tunza Home / Lords House of Hope Aug 22nd-23rd
These are two Homes/orphanages that Moved by Love Foundation has chosen to adopt and just love on the kids and the social and children workers there in all the ways we can.
It was a joy for Mike and me to round one round in these homes just to check on our little friends, find out how they are doing as well as encourage them

.

My heart is full of gratitude for every opportunity that has presented itself for me to serve God. Your prayers and support go a long way to reach out and impact people all over the world beginning with our Jerusalem here in Kenya. Hope you will be blessed and be motivated to be part of this great vision. Blessings

Operation Moved By Love Zambia October 10th- 30th 201

I remember in mid 2010 after six years of active ministry I had called it quits to embark on my career in computing and accounts. Between July and September that decision had to be radically changed as God impressed in my heart to follow him and serve him always; otherwise being called into full time ministry.
It’s now turning six years since that defining moment came my way and indeed I have never looked back.
I thank God for he has expanded my ministry and for two years now I have been doing ministry in South west Uganda through the faith ministries Network and now this coming October a an opportunity has come for me to venture into Zambia ; A country which has a special place in my heart.
My friendship with Pastor Victor Tembo for four years now has led us to foresee an opportunity to work together.
We will be conducting Training for Church workers as well as doing Open conferences and crusades in the Copper belt region of Zambia, i.e. Kitwe and Lumwana. This will take around 20 days. You may kindly see the Budget I have below for a single person. I hope to go with a team of three people during the period. I invite you to be part of this great venture by your incessant prayers and financial support as God leads you.
You can give your support through these means.

 MAY-JUNE-JULY MISSION REPORT

MAY 2016

Ministry in Nairobi: MamaTunza Children’s Home; May 21st

My Friend Henry and the wifeand little Mishael jetted in on 18th of May from Canada. We have been schooling together since 2011 before they flew to Canada in July 2013 for further studies. This was a moment I have been waiting for since we were to embark on various ministry outreaches while they were here in Kenya.
On May 23rd we visited Mama Tunza Children’s Home in Ngong hills. We have been doing ministry here before The Henry’s went to Canada. We found the kids waiting for us with so much excitement. We were here today to have fun with the kids as well as distribute gifts. What a Joy it was to bring smiles to these young souls. Some kids were very young and vulnerable two years ago, it was a joy therefore for us to meet them in perfect health having grown up. We thank God for availing sponsors who have worked their way to meet their basic needs of food clothing and education .

Nakuru: Ronaka Secondary School.

On May 27th on a Friday we were due to engage in a weekend of Ministry in Nakuru and our first stop was at Ronaka secondary school a day school in Langalanga estate in Nakuru .We were invited to minister on God’s love. This mission was done in conjunction with Kenya Youth for Christ.
Henry ministered with music as he encouraged the kids of a father in heaven who hears us and cares for us.

We thank God for these kids who were left yearning for more; we know that good seed was planed in the hearts of these young souls.

Childcare children centre

The following day we visited Children Centre in Free area Nakuru. We planned to spend the Saturday with kids playing and eating with them. Sports and music evangelism really worked well in this station. It was such a glorious moment we had with them as well as times of refreshing for the home which has been having some challenges of late.

Rohi Girls

May 29th our weekend of ministry climaxed with an invitation to speak in a Sunday service. It wasa pleasant opportunity to come back to this pleasant place two months later. The girls received us with exuberant joy.
Henry ministered through his songs and gave a powerful message of hope to the girls who were left yearning for more. We thank God for such receptive souls that we found here.

JUNE

St Christopher’s youth Rally
The second round of ministry with the henrys came on 12thJune at St Christopher’s ACK Church. We were invited to ministry to the young people drawn from different church branches. What an awesome time it was full of entertainment and powerful music and sermon as we preached from the life of Samson. We thank God for the seed of radical love of God that was sown in this place .

Nakuru School

As I took time to gather myself up and restrategise after the henrys went back to Canada, another awesome opportunity came with Nakuru school knocking . Ministry of the word was awesome in this school as I encouraged the girls of the awesome faithfulness of God in making us cross over the uncertainties of life. The message of Israelites crossing over the red sea in exodus 14:13,,, was ourmain text.

Weekend Challenge for Kids (Jawabuschool)

9th to 11th July was dedicated to a weekend of fun and Music, poetry and the word of God to the young kids of Jawabu school. It was the first of its Kind ever to be done in this region of Kabarak, 23km from Nakuru town. We bless the Lord for the 155kids who embraced God in a unique way as well as the community around who came to be part of this great initiative

Nakuru Central Secondary

We as Moved by Love foundation have been doing peer counselling in Nakuru Central Secondary school in collaboration with Kenya youth for christ. We have been on a four months Journey with this kids teaching them sexuality, self-esteem, awareness of Hiv/Aids and other sexual transmitted diseases. We have had relationship coaching on matters to do with Relationship and boundaries.

We also look forward to collaborate with youth for Christ in counselling young mothers and teenage school drop outs in Pondamali slums in Nakuru. We will continue partnering with Youth for Christ as Moved by love foundation in reaching out to orphanages around Nakuru county and beyond as God enables us ;ministering through acts of practical love of sharing christ as well as meeting the basic needs of poor kids living in these homes and who have not yet been sponsored.

JULY 2016
Rohi girls
This school has become our home owing to the many times we have been invited to impact these girls. Being a partly sponsored school , this school Caters for the less fortunate in the society, girls who have gone through physical and sexual abuse as well as other challenges that would have rendered them helpless like the post election violence experienced in Kenya in 2008.
We have now a glorious opportunity to start a discipleship programme in the school which we began this month. The girls do need special lifeskills too like communication skills, self esteem and peer counseling.

Team Wonders kids : Meru Kenya

On 22nd July a New chapte in ministry unfolded for me as I travelled to Meru. I have been captivated by kids more and more and so as My Friend Pastor Isaac requested me to help him in his Children’s ministry I couldn’t hesitate but dedicate my two weeks to this beloved venture.
We thank God for the exiting three months we have had as Moved by Love foundation. We thank God for our friends and supporters who have continued to stand by us. I personally feel that you have been a great partner in the work of the gospel

Prayer Requests

1.       Thanks giving for successful three months of ministry
2.       More volunteers
3.       Upcoming Zambia Mission in the final quarter of the year

Why is the gospel the good news?

Because it is an announcement: if I had something good and keep it to myself, the good thing remains with me. The gospel is not the go...
